Using cling mounted stamps when you don't have an acrylic block

I had an interesting conversation with a customer recently who had inadvertently purchased a cling mounted stamp but had no acrylic blocks on hand to use it. 

So, I grabbed a cling mounted stamp and went in search of some easy to find objects that could be used as a handle. Obviously, cling mounted stamps work best when used with acrylic blocks.

However, in a pinch, I found that a small cling mounted stamp works really well when stuck to the bottom of a drinking glass.

And, a small cling mounted stamp sticks really well to clear packing tape. You can stick the tape to any block you might have on hand or really any smooth surfaced object that is easy to handle. 

A larger stamp would require a larger object, but packing tape could turn any larger easy to handle item into a block for a cling mounted stamp!
