Title: Running For Raisins

Stamps used: Ferret Silhouette, Raisins Saying, Ferret Paw Prints.

We loved how well the style of this card fit the stamps used. When the card is tilted from side to side, the ferret rolls along the track, doing a little ferret tumble. It looks a lot like a weasel war dance! Congratulations Julie!

Supplies: Scallop Punch, Word Window Punch, 2 different size circle punches, crystal affects, 2 pennies, white gel pen, black staz-on ink, purple ink, paper piercer, craft sponge, adhesive tape, white card stock and two different purple card stock and dimensionals.

Artist's Instructions:

Cut and score desired card stock. Using the word punch, start on one side of your white card stock and punch along towards the other side to get the long punch look. Stamp your paws at the bottom and then stamp your saying in the upper right hand corner. Adhere the finished white card stock to your purple card stock piece, using adhesive tape. On the back of the finished card stock piece, add two dimensionals (one on top of the other.) Use as many dimensionals as you need to support a sturdy lift of the finished card stock on your cut and scored card. NOTE: You want the circle to be able to freely turn. If you don't put enough dimensionals on the back of the finished card stock, the circle will not turn. Punch out your white circle with the smaller circle punch. Punch out the second circle with the larger circle punch (purple circle). Stamp your image on the white circle. Using your adhesive tape, adhere the circles together. On the back of the circles, add one dimensional. On the back of that dimensional, add a penny. Add another dimensional to the back of the penny. Now add the second penny to the dimensional that's adhered to the first penny. Punch your scallop on the bottom of the front of your card. Your card will be unbalanced (front flap is shorter than the back flap.)

Cut a white piece of card stock the same size of the front of your card and set aside. Using the paper piercer, pierce one hole in the middle of each scallop. Using the white gel pen, draw a circle just outside the hole. Now take the white card stock you set aside, and adhere it on the inside of the front of your card so that you balance out the front and the back of your card. Use a sponge to dab around the white edge that is exposed with purple ink. Now take your finished stamped circle, slip one penny into the long punched out section. The dimensional that is between the two pennies should be the section that rolls on the card stock. Adhere your top finished section to your cut and scored card. Tilt side to side and the image will roll. Your card is complete!

Title: Pi Rats Of The Carry Bean

Stamps used: Standing Rat, Rat.

Stamp rats on white card stock and trim them. Cut laminate samples to size. Glue to leather scrap (background of their raft), Then glue raft to paper. Glue dowel rod to raft. Use decorative scissors to cut waves out of dark blue paper. Use glue and red sticky tape to attach embellishment (star/sun). Trim gold label for "Pie" flag. Used p-touch for "Carry Bean" banner. Cosmetic sponge was glued to back of rats to give them a dimensional lift. Adhesive transfer glue was used for most of the construction. Red sticky tape for waves and rats. Thick tacky glue used on cosmetic sponges. Paper from California Paper Goods. Present in a decorative box for diorama effect. Box lid stamped with additional RubberHedgehog Rubber Stamps.

Title: Wanted

Stamp used: Tyrannosaurus Tex.

Used faux stitching and computer generated sentiment. Colored with Copic markers.

Stamp used: Get Well Soon Dog.

Color the image with watercolor pencils. Add some Glassy Glaze on the e-collar to make it pop. Layer with scallop circle and some fancy papers! Add the ribbon for some extra pizzazz!

Title: Happy Halloween Ferret

Stamp used: Ferret Witch.

Cut and score black card stock. Stamp your image twice on two separate pieces of white card stock. Color both images. Using the precision scissors, cut out your images. Punch out your circles with the circle punch. Take that circle and place it where you desire to have your moon on the white card stock. Use the sponge and dab ink lightly around the circle until you get the desired color. Dab light in other areas to the the affect you want for your halloween sky. Adhere your sky background to your scored black card stock with adhesive tape. Using the cricut machine, cut 1/2 inch letters and adhesive tape each one onto your card. Adhere one of the finished stamped and colored images using cut down pieces of dimensionals. Fold a large piece of twine a couple of times and take another piece of twint to wrap around the folded twine. Tie it tight. Cut the twine so that the folds are now broken apart. Add Tombow glue to the tied area and place it on your second cut out image. Let it dry. Using cut down pieces of dimensionals, adhere your second ferret image on top of the first. Your card is complete!

The googley eyes are made from white brads with spots. The dimensional embellishments are made using McGill large punches. The background paper is embellished further using textured card stock and glitter effects. Overall the card is a delight for the senses.

Stamps used: Ferret in Sombrero.

Dooks are computer generated. The hat is colored with Bic Markers and the Dingle balls are Jo Ann's - and are attached with glue dots. Card is made with Stampin up card stock, except for the white which is Georgia Pacific. Black ink is Memories.

As always, our choice was very difficult. There were many creative, clever, and polished entries and only four prizes available for this round.

We also chose 4 entries for honorable mention - though we would have liked to have chosen many more for recognition.

All card entries have been resized to fit this page; a few have also been cropped or digitally enhanced in other ways - to better suit this page and our purposes. Our judges made their choice based on the original entries as submitted; many factors were considered.

All decisions are final. Prize packages (store credits) will be sent to Grand Prize and First Prize winners by email. Honorable mention card crafters will receive a small gift in the mail from our crew for their amazing contributions to this year's contest.
